Eligibility
The Creative Short Story Contest sponsored by the Arts & Letters Committee of theMadison Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., is open to Dane countypublic high school students in grades 9-12 and public middle school students in grades 6-8, who are not related to members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated.

Topic
Any topic is allowed, but works that include strong sexual references, extreme violence,racism, and/or other content that is not appropriate for a mainstream literary audienceare not eligible. Subject matter regarding the African-American experience that is positive, uplifting, and inspirational is encouraged.
