Patricia Haley-Glass

The Chosen Series

Thank you to all who attended and supported Madison Alumnae Chapter's Founders Day Program and 35th Anniversary Celebration on March 31, 2012. It truly was a glorious occassion setting the tone for the next 35 years of our "Committment to Serve in Love."

Award winning national best selling author Soror Patricia Haley-Glass was the guest speaker. She charged us to use our past as a stepping stone to the future letting love direct our path. Inspired by 1 Corinthians 13, Soror Haley-Glass reminded us all that this is a new day, and we have a new vision with Love as our guide. She encouraged us to know what our purpose is in life; and use that purpose to help others. Simple acts of kindess can impact somebody's life in ways that we never could imagine - "When there is a need, Deltas acknowledge and heed the call."

"The Delta girl is one who has been given the opportunity of education and broad development: she is one who has enjoyed the privileges of culture and selected environment...It is pleasing to a heartfelt depth to see her not as self centered, not desirous of selfish power, not wanting the plaudits of people, not wanting glory- but with a purpose which directs her activities and all that she may control toward lifting somebody else. -Soror Mary McCleod-Bethune.
